Length: 19.4 miles
Type: Out & Back
Time: 3 to 4 hours
Aerobic: Strenuous
Technical: Intermediate
Season: Mid-summer through fall

Land Status: MHNF/Barlow Ranger District

Trailhead: From Hood River, head south on hwy. 35 for just over 33 miles and exit at the Mt. Hood Meadows exit at Bennett Pass. Turn left (east) on to the Bennett Pass Road (road 3550) and park in the large lot just after passing over hwy. 35. (45 minutes)

Highlights: Expect great views, lots of wildflowers and some fun descending.

Note: : Though this ride is aerobically strenuous, technically it is not too difficult. The route is always wide enough to provide several "lines". Ride from Bennett Pass to the turn around/viewpoint at mile 9.7. (An additional 1.0 mile of optional, steep climbing will bring you to High Prairie and a fun hike up to Lookout Mountain)
